Question Paper Leak Concerns: No action has been taken despite the NTA’s criminal complaint regarding the NEET UG 2024 Exam paper leakage and the subsequent arrest of 13 individuals in Bihar.
Awarding Grace Marks: Many students have reported that their answer sheets were collected 20 minutes before 3.20 hours. Instead of organising reexaminations, the NTA selectively awarded grace marks to students who made representations or took legal action by approaching High Courts in Punjab & Haryana, Delhi, and Chhattisgarh. This was done without specifying the number of marks awarded as grace marks. This discriminatory approach is evident through NTA’s press release dated 6.6.2024.
Assessing students’ answering skills in this manner is unscientific, as students may not answer questions in the order they appear in the exam. Moreover, the 2018 SC judgement referred to a computer-based CLAT exam, not a pen-and-paper test. Additionally, the agency did not mention grace marks in its prospectus or subsequent circulars/notices, which adversely affected students who experienced a loss of time but did not take legal action.
Two Key Answers to One Physics Question: The NTA acknowledged that one key answer for a physics question was incorrect and received 13,373 challenges to the provisional answer. Consequently, compensatory marks were awarded to all students who attempted the wrong key answer in Physics. This approach of awarding marks selectively to candidates who attempted wrong key answers and neglected others is illegal and highly discriminatory.
In light of these issues, Hon’ble @PMOIndia must direct the @NTA_Exams and @DghsIndia @NMC_IND to fairly award grace and compensatory marks to all 20.38 lakh students who appeared in the 2024 UG NEET exams, regardless of whether they raised objections or took legal action. This will do a complete Justice to all the students.

Now you all will understand why Honble @mkstalin and Honble @Udhaystalin are vociferously seeking to abolish NEET and have introduced a Bill to that effect in TN!
