PRESS RELEASE

       As per the guidance of His Lordship Hon’ble Mr. Justice R.Mahadevan,             the Acting Chief Justice, Madras High Court/Patron-in-Chief and Executive Chairman of TNSLSA, this Authority has directed all the Legal Services Institutions across the State to hold National Lok Adalat today i.e 08.06.2024 (Saturday) in all the Courts in the State of Tamil Nadu.

In all the District Legal Services Authorities and Taluk Legal Services Committees across the State 465 benches were constituted and cases disposed off as detailed below as at 5.30 P.M.

    Total 64,142 334,54,17,940 The High Court Legal Services Committee has constituted 8 benches at the Principal Seat of Madras High Court consisting of Hon’ble Mr. Justice D.Bharatha Chakravarthy, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sunder Mohan, Hon’ble Mr. Justice K.Kumaresh Babu, Hon’ble Mr. Justice P.B.Balaji, Hon’ble Mrs. Justice K.Govindarajan Thilakavadi, Hon’ble Mr. Justice V.Lakshminarayanan, Hon’ble Mr. Justice P.Dhanabal, Hon’ble Mr. Justice N.Senthilkumar, Judges, Madras High Court and at Madurai Bench of Madras High Court has constituted 4 benches consisting of Hon’ble Mrs. Justice L.Victoria Gowri, Hon’ble Mr. Justice K.Rajasekar, Hon’ble Mr. Justice G.Arul Murugan, Judges, Madras High Court and Hon’ble Mr. Justice AR.Ramaligamm Retired Judge of Madras High Court as Presiding Officers of National Lok Adalat. Hon’ble Mr. Justice R.Mahadevan, the Acting Chief Justice, Madras High Court/Patron-in-Chief and Executive Chairman of TNSLSA has handed over settlement award copies to some of the claimants whose cases have been settled before the National Lok Adalat held at Small Causes Court, Chennai towards the award amount of Rs.2.75 Crores.
