The specific direction under order dated 15.02.2018 is that the representation seeking enhanced compensation is to be decided by the
second respondent, who is the Secretary, Health Department.

2. However, the representation in this case has been decided bya Committee comprising the Dean, Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Chennai and Directorate of Medical Education. Therefore,
   there is blatant violation of the directions of this Court.
3. The respondents state that they will pay a sum of Rs.2 lakhs to the petitioner within a week from today and the cheque will be issued
   by the respondents prior to 13.07.2024.
4. List under the caption ‘for reporting compliance’ on 14.07.2024. It is made clear that receipt of the interim compensation will not stand to the prejudice of the petitioner as far as the prayer in
   the writ petition is concerned.
