THE HON’BLE MR.JUSTICE D.BHARATHA CHAKRAVARTHY
W.P.No.16995 of 2024
Srinivasan … Petitioner
Vs.
1.The Managing Director,
Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation, Pallavan House, Chennai.
2.The General Manager,
Tamil Nadu Transport Corporation,
Villupuram Zone,
Villupuram District. … Respondents
Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 27.05.2024 within a time frame.

  For Petitioner : Mr.R.Poornima

For Respondents : Mr.C.Gouthamaraj for R1
M/s.S.Pavithra
TNSTC (VPM)
for R2
ORDER This writ petition is filed for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.05.2024.

  1. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is working as a Driver in the respondent corporation and now he is sought to be Superannuated with effect from 30.06.2024. A perusal of the material records filed on behalf of the writ petition would reveal that the petitioner’s story is that he was born on 10.06.1969 and directly he toddled to school (when he was 1 year old) and completed the 12th standard in the year 1982 (when he was only 13 years old). However, unfortunately, he did not notice his Date of Birth which is mentioned as 1964 in his Transfer Certificate. Unfortunately, he did not notice his Date of Birth in the Aadhar Card and all other School Certificates including his Voter ID also. Everywhere it is mentioned wrongly. He suddenly realized the same only in the year 2024 and made a representation. In that representation also, the respondent did not give any acknowledgment or proof. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
  2. Therefore, by the own case of the petitioner, the writ petition is nothing, but a bundle of lies. Therefore, the law of the Poiyile Pirandhu Poiyile valarndha pulavar peruman (“bgha;apny gpweJ; bgha;apny tsu;e;j g[ytu; bgUkhd;)” is dismissed.
  3. By taking a lenient view, this Court imposes a cost of Rs.50/- on the petitioner to be paid to the Gandhi Memorial Museum, Madurai. The petitioner has to personally visit the said Museum and pay the cost of Rs.50/- within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 27.06.2024 Neutral Citation: No jas
