[9/26, 16:20] Sekarreporter 1: [9/26, 16:11] Vijayaragavan Mba: Subject to corrections, I remember that RDOs are not having jurisdiction to enquire in to complaints preferred under the Parents and Senior Citizens welfare and maintenance Act and the DRO alone is competent to enquire and pass orders whenever complaints are made to him. District Collectors are appellate authority under the said Act as against orders passed by DROs. Hence the senior citizen’s order of NAV.J had to be suitably modified. GP/AGP/GA who appeared in that case ought to have brought this to the notice of the learned Judge. Taking into consideration the provisions of the Act, the order can be suitably modified by the learned Judge himself suo motu.
