- Court can order witness to be examined by commission who is sick or infirm
- Court can for expeditious disposal of case or for reason recorded issue commission for examination
- Evidence taken in commission cannot be read as evidence in suit without consent of parties against whom same is offered
- Court can appoint commissioner to elucidate matter in dispute
- Court can appoint commission to send for scientific investigation which cannot be done in court
