A National Level Technical Consultation on emerging trends in Human Trafficking and Strategies to prevent them was conducted by Telangana Police Department, at Hyderabad, on 29th and 30th of August. In that National Meet the Member Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority has participated and delivered his special address.
Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority was specially awarded for the services provided by the "One Stop Crisis Team" in Tamil Nadu in providing rescue, protection, relief and legal assistance to the victims of slavery and human trafficking.
The said award was presented by the Chief Officer for Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana States for UNICEF,Thiru.Zalalem Birhanu Taffesse, and the award was received by Thiru.A.Nazir Ahamed, Member Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority.
The said "One Stop Crisis Team" is an organization headed by the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority with the members from various Departments of the Government to prevent child labour, exploitation and human trafficking.The above award is presented in recognition of the combined merit of the activities across the state of Tami Nadu.
