    Looking back, my journey with the Women Lawyers 

Association began in 1998. I was first elected as an Executive Committee member from 2003 to 2005, and then as Treasurer from 2005 to 2007. During this time, I actively participated in numerous protests and worked tirelessly for the welfare of women lawyers.
In 2014, I was elected as Secretary of WLA for the 2014- 2016 term, a particularly challenging period in my life. I donated a Xerox from my Own funds, which generated income for the WLA’s welfare. Additionally, I contributed four steel bookcases from my own to the library to protect the books from termites, and I donated a Panasonic air conditioner from my own for the Xerox room. During these two years, many impleading petitions were filed for women lawyers’ personal cases before the High Court, and I visited several police stations to address grievances. As Secretary, I also led protests against the Advocate’s code of conduct framed by the High Court, which resulted in a 28-day suspension by the All India Bar Council.
Since October 2019, I have been serving as Vice President of the WLA. During the challenging COVID-19 pandemic, I donated Rs. 2,000 to each of the 122 WLA members who were in urgent need of financial support for their well-being. Most recently, in March 2024, I organized a highly successful Women’s Day event, contributing highest amount to ensure its success.
Now, I am contesting for the position of President of WLA for 2024. I assure you that, if elected, I will ensure,
Proper administration To offer financial support for newly married Clean restrooms, and pregnant women lawyers.
Clean dining room I am always approachable and committed to
An expanded Association Main hall serving as a friendly and supportive president. Modernized library with high-tech facilities
I will also provide a dedicated room for the Xerox machine Establish a new and exclusive canteen for WLA members
