[23/07, 11:59] sekarreporter1: W.P. 20366 of 2024 – Learned Senior Counsel Mr. A. L. Somayaji and Mr. Jayesh B. Dolia instructed by T. Karthi for M/s. Aiyar & Dolia represented on behalf of M/s. Blue Cross of India and put forth various submissions. The Ld. Senior Counsels argued that the TNAWB lacked jurisdiction and authority to conduct such an inspection of the premises, especially when the AWBI specifically requested the GCC to conduct the same. The Ld. Senior counsels further argued that the unilateral constitution of a committee to look into the daily operations and other “unsettled issues” is mala fide. The Ld. Senior counsels further brought to the notice of the Hon’ble Court that the committee has not taken charge yet, however, they are likely to come any time soon, and in view of that, vehemently pressed for an interim order not permitting the committee to take any action. The Hon’ble Court, after taking note of the aforementioned submissions, was pleased to grant an order of status quo as on date and adjourned the matter to 23.08.2024.
