      UPON hearing the counsel the Court made the following
                         O R D E R
  1. This petition has been primarily entertained with an avowed object of laying down the guidelines for strengthening and enhancing the institutional strength of Bar Associations throughout the country.
  2. On a suggestion by learned senior counsel representing the parties presently impleaded, we deem it appropriate to implead the followings for the purpose of inviting suggestions on a PAN India basis:
    (i) The Bar Council of India (already a party – duly represented by the learned counsel).
    (ii) The Supreme Court Bar Association through its President.
    (iii)Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association (SCAORA) through its President.
    (iv) Bar Councils of all the States through their respectiveChairpersons.
    (v) The High Court Bar Associations through their respective Presidents.
  3. Since there are more than one Bar Associations in some of the High Courts, the Registrar Generals of the High Courts concerned will ensure that notice of this petition be served on the Presidents of all the Bar Associations in the respective High Courts.
  4. The Registry is directed to forward a soft copy of the pleadings to all the Registrar Generals of the High Courts for onward information to the High Court Bar Associations. Similarly, learned counsel representing the Bar Council of India graciously agrees to inform the Chairpersons of all the State Bar Councils, that this Court has desired their presence on the next date of hearing.
  5. Post the matters for further consideration on 21.08.2024 at
    02.30 p.m.
  6. Meanwhile, learned senior counsel/counsel, who have already entered appearance, may file their suggestions.
  7. The title of the proceedings is ordered to be re-captioned as “re: Strengthening and Enhancing the Institutional Strength of Bar Associations”.
  8. At the outset, paragraph one of the order dated 04.03.2024 is ordered to be corrected and it is clarified that Mr. Vijay Narayan,
    Adv., did not appear on behalf of the petitioners, hence the statement that he along with other advocates “do not want to press the allegations made against………………….” does not pertain to him. The order to that extent is deleted.
  9. Application (I.A. No.82684/2024) for intervention is allowed.
