BJP leader in and as BJP National President of Women’s Wing and also the MLA of Kovai- South had instituted Defamation complaints against the accused Balasubramaniam Adiyan and Shankar Narayan before 17th MM Saidapet in the year 2017. They were politically motivated, as they systematically indulged in targeting our leaders of BJP to defame her on different levels and on various aspects.
Those complaints were pursued till it’s logical conclusion for not only justice but also as a moral victory for all women whose growth is undermined against their hardwork.
After continuous rigorous legal battle since past 8 years in all odds has ended with justice in the convictions of the accused both… proven guilty with a hefty fine levied upon each. But added to that only on consideration of their age mercies were imprisoned till rising of the court with an unconditional apology on 25.7.24.
This is one of the rarest and first of its kind in TN politics or probably in the country wherein the defamation case initiated by a politician more so by a women politician ended with conviction of the accused after full fledged trial on merits in the defamation cases upholding the truth to undo the damages conspired against to her hailing victory.
This Judgement will throw light and act as a motivation for those women also, who intend to enter politics and serve in public towards their interest. But at the same time will act as a deterrent warning to those who surreptitiously try to defame women in politics.
Henceforth this precedent shall become a norm as rightly set by the political leader especially being a woman herein who has not only got and won justice for herself against the wrong after a stiff legal and emotional battle despite a public life but has rightly justified the post,…to lead the women against the odds with truth, perseverance and courage unflinchingly as an inspiration with determination.

பாஜக சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர் வானதி சீனிவாசனுக்கு எதிராக அவதூறு கருத்துக்களை தெரிவித்தவருக்கு நீதிமன்றம் கலையும் வரை நீதிமன்ற அறையில் நிற்க வேண்டும் என தண்டனை விதித்து சைதாப்பேட்டை நடுவர் நீதிமன்றம் தீர்ப்பளித்துள்ளது.
ஸைலாக் என்ற சீன நிறுவனத்தில் 12 ஆயிரம் கோடி ரூபாய் சட்டவிரோதமாக முதலீடு செய்ததாக பாஜக மூத்த நிர்வாகி (தற்போது சட்டமன்ற உறுப்பினர்) வானதி சீனிவாசன் மீது முன்னாள் ரயில்வே ஊழியர் சங்கரநாராயணன் என்பவர் வாட்ஸ் அப், டிவிட்டர் (சுட்டுரை) மற்றும் யூடியூப்களில் வீடியோ வெளியிட்டார்.
இது தொடர்பாக பாஜக மகளிர் பிரிவு தேசிய தலைவர் வானதி சீனிவாசன் கடந்த 2017ம் ஆண்டு சைதாப்பேட்டை குற்றவியல் நடுவர் நீதிமன்றத்தில் அவதூறு வழக்கு தொடர்ந்தார். அதில், ஆதாரம் இல்லாமல் போலியான கருத்துக்களை வெளியிட்டு சமூகத்தில் தனக்கு அவப்பெயரை ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில் கருத்துக்களை வெளியிட்ட சங்கரநாராயணன் மீது அவதூறு சட்டத்தின் கீழ் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என கூறப்பட்டது.
இதுபோல, பாஜக நிர்வாகியாக இருந்த பாலசுப்ரமணியன் ஆதித்யன் என்பவரும் கருத்து தெரிவித்ததால், அவர் மீதும் அவதூறு சட்டத்தின் கீழ் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என தனியாக வழக்கு தொடரப்பட்டது. மனுதாரர் சார்பில் ஆஜரான வழக்கறிஞர் திருக்குமரன், அவதூறு பரப்பவே இதுபோன்ற கருத்துக்களை பரப்பியதாக குற்றம் சாட்டினார்.
இதையடுத்து, வழக்கை விசாரித்த சைதாப்பேட்டை குற்றவியல் நீதிமன்ற நடுவர் அனிதா ஆனந்த் வழங்கிய தீர்ப்பில், இருவர் மீதான குற்றச்சாட்டுகள் அவதூறு சட்டத்தின் கீழ் நிரூபிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அவதூறு கருத்து பரப்பியதற்காக இருவரும் நிபந்தனையற்ற மன்னிப்பு கேட்டதை நீதிமன்றம் ஏற்றுக் கொள்கிறது.
நீதிமன்றம் மாலை (ஜூலை 25) கலையும் வரை நீதிமன்றத்திலேயே நிற்க வேண்டும் என தண்டனை விதிக்கப்படுகிறது. இருவரின் வயதையும் கருத்தில் கொண்டு இருவருக்கும் சிறை தண்டனை விதிக்காமல் 10 ஆயிரம் ரூபாய் அபராதம் விதிக்கப்படுகிறது. அபராதம் செலுத்த தவறினால் 6 மாதங்கள் சிறை தண்டனை அனுபவிக்க வேண்டும் என தீர்ப்பில் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.
