Sub: To allow the filing to successive Bail and Anticipatory Bail Petitions before the Hon’ble High Court of Madras, vacation sitting (May, 2024).

The Hon’ble Madras High Court is working as per the scheduled days for filing and the sitting arrangements of the Hon’ble bench for the Summer Vacation- May, 2024. However, at present the filing of successive Bail and Anticipatory bail Petitions are not being taken up by the Registry. Since the bail and Anticipatory bail plays a significant role in protecting the rights of the innocent persons, it is necessary to give an opportunity for the Hon’ble bench to hear the case. Moreover, it is also the grievance of several advocates, who are the members of this bar, that they are facing utmost difficulty due to the said restriction on the bail and anticipatory bail filing.

Therefore, for the above reasons your Good self may consider this representation, by allowing the filing of successive bail and anticipatory bail petitions before the Hon’ble High Court of Madras, Vacation bench, May 2024.
