ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon’ble Chief Justice)
A status report has been filed to show compliance of the
order of this Court.
- Pursuant to the directions of this Court, the respondents had taken action and accordingly, so far as the area nearby High Court is concerned, a temporary toilet, apart from a permanent toilet, has been put up in order to prevent the walls from being used for nature calls. Flower pots have been placed to beautify the area to see that it is maintained and kept clean. A decision has been taken to cover all the manholes if they remain uncovered and at the
same time, the damaged manholes would be replaced so as to avoid any incident of the nature occurred if the manholes remain
uncovered.
- The action taken by the respondents, in compliance of the
directions of this Court, has to be appreciated.
- At the same time, while closing the contempt petition, we expect from the respondents that if any manhole still remains uncovered and unnoticed by the Court or by the petitioner or the manhole cover is damaged, they would immediately address it, so as to avoid any type of incident that had occurred in the past due to
uncovered or damaged manholes, thereby maintaining the area around the High Court in the same condition as it is maintained
now.
- It is also directed that if a temporary toilet is required to be
placed for the use of small shop keepers opposite High Court premises, the respondents may find out suitable place so that the arrangement of temporary toilet to the shop keepers is also provided nearby their place of work.
