Issue:- There is a temple in Nungambakkam, by name Agasteeswarar Prasanna Venkateasa Perumal Temple ( APVP Temple) The properties of the temple were illegally sold by HR&CE officials and the hereditary Trustees. The provisions of HR&CE were not followed. Out of 451grounds 81 grounds are missing in the property register. 84 items sold without Commissioner Permission. 28 item sold under sec 34 of HR&CE Act without following the mandatory steps. All sales were illegal and the Registration officials are requested to stop further registrations. The PIL prayer is to identify , retrieve and update the property register and upload online. The HR&CE officials: Registration officials: Revenue officials: CMDA: Chennai Corporation: and the hereditary Trustees are made respondents. Today First Bench ordered notice to all.
