   Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to conduct the consecration Kudamuzhukku/Nanneerattu function of Arulmigu Siddeshwara Swamy Thirukoil, Kanjamalai, Salem District, in Tamil by chanting Thirumuraikal and Tamil Saiva Manthiram scheduled to be held on 15.09.2024.

   ORDER
   (Order of the Court was made by the Hon’ble Acting Chief Justice)
   The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to conduct the consecration Kudamuzhukku/Nanneerattu function of Arulmigu Siddeshwara Swamy Thirukoil, Kanjamalai, Salem District, scheduled to be held on 15.09.2024, by chanting Thirumuraikal and Tamil Saiva Manthiram in Tamil language.
5. The apprehension of the petitioner is that, while performing kumbhabishekam and other rituals, only Sanskrit vedas would be recited and the recitation of Tamil hymns/verses would be deliberately avoided.
6. Mr.N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents 1, 3 and 4, submits that the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department has decided to perform the kumbhabishekam of Arulmigu Siddeshwara Swamy Thirukoil, Kanjamalai, Salem District, on 15.9.2024, by chanting the hymns/verses in Tamil as well as Sanskrit languages.
7. In view of the aforesaid submission made by learned Special Government Pleader, no further orders are required to be passed in
   this writ petition.
   The writ petition is disposed of by recording the aforesaid submission made by learned Special Government Pleader. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.29827 of 2024 is closed.
