The Bar Council of Tamilnadu and Puducherry is implementing the Personal Accident Insurance Scheme to the advocates for the past 21 years and most of the advocates benefited from this scheme. The policy is renewed with effect from 13.10.2023 by the National Insurance Company for the next one year and the benefits of the Group Insurance Policy are as follows:-

1. Accidental Death Only Rs. 20,00,000
 

2.

 Loss of two limbs or two eyes or one limb and one eye  

Rs. 20,00,000
3. Loss of one limb or one eye Rs. 10,00,000
4. Permanent Total Disablement Rs. 20,00,000
5. Temporary Total Disablement Rs. 5,000 per week for 50 weeks
 

6.

  

Accidental Medical  Expenses

  

Rs. 2,50,000/-

 

As per our records more than 80000 advocates are in active practice and only 14000 advocates have registered in Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme. Therefore the time for joining the policy extended till 30.10.2023.The premium amount of Rs. 950/- including GST shall be paid only through online as prescribed in the procedure. The Bar Council has decided to implement the Integrated Automation Enterprise System. Therefore, all the Advocates are requested to register their particulars through the Bar Council online portal https://www.bctnpy.org/user/login  on or before 30.10.2023.

Further, all the President/Secretaries of the Bar/Advocate Associations are requested to ensure the joining of all Advocates in the scheme and intimate the same to the Bar Council.

 

 

 

 

 

Steps to apply for Group Insurance

 

 

 

Step 1: Advocates, those who have enrolled in the Bar Council of Tamilnadu and

Puducherry on or before October 12, 2023, have to make One-Time Permanent Online

Registration through the following links https://www.bctnpy.org/user/update/advocate

 

Step 2: After successful Email and Mobile OTP verification, it will navigate you to the dashboard page. Step 3: In the dashboard, click on the “Apply for Group Insurance” link.

Step 4: Fill the details and click on the Proceed to Payment button.

 

Step 5: It will navigate to you to online payment page. Here, select the payment mode and click on the Pay Now button.

 

Note: Already Account Created Advocates can directly login into their account using email id & password Link: https://www.bctnpy.org/user/login Supported online payment modes:

 

  • Debit Card (Visa/Mastercard/Rupay/Maestro) & Credit Card.
  • UPI/QR Code (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.)
  • Netbanking (All Indian Banks)
  • Wallet (Mobikwik, Freecharge, Airtel Money, Ola Money (Postpaid + Wallet), JioMoney, PayZapp)

Step 6: After successful payment, your application will be queued for online approval.

 

Step 7: Upon approval, your application will be queued for further Group Insurance processing.

Step 8: After verification, you will receive the Policy Number, Effect Date and Validity Period through your registered email / in your BCTNPY Online account. The coverage is applicable only after the confirmation received from the National Insurance Company.
