There has been a serious allegation made by the petitioner on behalf of her husband, who is a convict in S.C.No.89 of 2010 and who is presently undergoing imprisonment at Vellore Central Prison, where the remaining sentence is less than three months. Allegations have been made against respondents 4, 5, 6 and 7, which are serious in nature.

2. Though in this regard, Mr.E.Raj Thilak, learned Additional Public Prosecutor who takes notice for the official respondents ie., respondents 1 to 3 wants some time to file counter / objections, we feel that, as to whether the allegations that have been made in the representation dated 05.08.2023 and 08.08.2023 is correct or not has to be ascertained. For the said purpose, we feel that the DIG of Prisons, Vellore can conduct an enquiry and file a report before this Court during the next hearing date. Two weeks time is granted for the said purpose.  Post the matter for the aforesaid compliance on 04.09.2023.  A copy of this order shall be communicated to the DIG of Prisons, Vellore immediately.
