Threatening the Independence of the Judiciary is more dangerous to the Democratic and Administration of Justice. Letter to cj by bar council. P.S. AMALRAJ) (S. PRABAKARAN) (V. KARTHIKEYAN) Chairman, Bar Council Vice-Chairman, Bar Council of India Vice-Chairman, Bar Council

To:
The Hon’ble Chief Justice,
Supreme Court of India, New Delhi.

May it Pleased My Lord,

The Bar Council of Tamilnadu and Puducherry has reliably understand that after passing of the Judgment by the Karnataka High Court in the Hijab Case, the persons belonging to an organization gave threat to the Hon’ble Judges of the Karnataka High Court. The Bar Council of Tamilnadu and Puducherry is not going into the merits of the case, the aggrieved parties have approached the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the same is pending before the Court of Law and the matter is Sub-Judice.
In these circumstances, undermining the Constitutional functionary and sending a threat message to the Administration of Justice and Judiciary is highly condemnable one. If at all anybody aggrieved by the order, it is free to file an Appeal against the order. Threatening the Independence of the Judiciary is more dangerous to the Democratic and Administration of Justice.
The Bar Council thank the State Government of Tamilnadu acted in swift manner and arrested the erring person and we further request the Union of India and concerned State Government to provide adequate Police Protection to the Hon’ble Judges of the concerned Court who passed the verdict for the free and fair functioning of the Judiciary.
Thanking you,

(P.S. AMALRAJ) (S. PRABAKARAN) (V. KARTHIKEYAN)
