Today the quo warranto writ petition filed by Hindu Munani against Hon’ble Minister Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin came up for hearing before Hon’ble Mrs Justice Anitha Sumanth of the Madras High Court . Mr. P. Wilson, Senior Advocate assisted by Richardson Wilson appearing for Mr Udhayanidhi Stalin submitted that the writ petitioner has filed an application to amend the cause title after the technical objection taken by him on the last date of hearing. The writ petitioner had only arrayed the special Secretary of the Tamilnadu Legislative Assembly instead of the Secretary of the Assembly. Mr Wilson and Mr. R. Shunmugasundaram, Advocate General sought time to file counter affidavit to this application. Mr. Wilson also submitted that the BJP is doing Twitter politics on the basis of this case and the proceedings of the case are being missreported on social media including by Mr Annamalai the State president of the BJP on his Twitter handle. Mr Wilson submitted that having filed a writ petition it is the duty of the petitioner to file the necessary evidences and failure to do so should entail in dismissal of the writ petition. He argued that court cannot compel to do anything against constitutional right of the Respondent . Mr R. Viduthalai senior counsel appeared for Mr A Raja Hon’ble Member of Parliament and sought time to file counter affidavit. The case is adjourned to 7th November for further hearing
