  2. Mr.J.Ravindran, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the ‘State’ would submit that the Government has already taken possession and sealed the premises. The arrears of rent to the tune of Rs.822,63,04,080/- (without interest) as on 30.06.2023, is alone to be recovered by following the due process. It is an admitted fact the lease expired and all the facts were considered by this Court elaborately. Thus, no further leniency is required from the hands of this Court. Since the Government has already taken possession and sealed the property, they are at liberty to utilise the land for public purposes.
