The Executive Officer/Joint Commissioner of Arulmigu
Dhandayuthapani Swami Thirukovil, Palani and the Commissioner of
Municipality, Palani has filed their reports before this Court as per the
direction of this Court dated 09.01.2024.

  1. We have perused the said reports, wherein it is stated that the direction
    passed by this Court has been complied with.
  2. The Joint Commissioner/Executive Officer submitted a compliance
    report before this Court today as per the earlier directions of this Court dated
    09.012024 informing that the temple administration is taking steps to install
    iron pillars on the roads leading to Giriveethi in order to prevent the vehicle
    movement and pushcarts, etc., in the Giriveethi area. The temple
    administration has installed in the Kuravan Paari which is leading to Giriveeth

Since the Writ Petitions have been filed for removal of
unauthorized construction of the building, we are of the view that several
writ petitions have been filed before this Court particularly for removal of
unauthorized construction or deviation of the approved plan. These cases
are filed as an individual case before this Court. We are not happy that the
neither the Commissioner of Corporation nor the Municipality are taking
stringent action as against such unauthorized construction of the buildings
and deviation of the approval plan. This Court, on several occasions has
taken a serious view and necessary directions have been issued for removal
of those unauthorized constructions. Still the authority concerned has slept
over the matter and no action has been taken for stopping the unauthorized
construction within their jurisdiction.
