Dr Ramaswamy: Landmark judgment given by Hon’ble Justice Krishnan Ramasamy dated 18.10.2023 on the matter of GST wherein the Hon’ble Justice observed that GST Council must be taken into consideration for few areas regarding working women staying in the hospital. Hon’ble Finance Minister and the Ministry of Finance on suo moto took into consideration this landmark judgment in its 53rd GST Council and directed to implement Hon’ble Justice’s judgment

Hon’ble Finance Minister and the Ministry of Finance on suo moto took into consideration this landmark judgment in its 53rd GST Council and directed to implement Hon’ble Justice’s judgment. It is indeed a privilege that the when the judgment came I personally interpreted the judgment and wrote an article in a leading GST magazine. It is a proud moment today that the Ministry takes into consideration and implements Hon’ble Courts judgment without any specific direction given on the landmark judgment on suo moto.
