The Registrar of the University released the order nominating Dr. Ram Sankar to appear before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India for cases against the University before the Apex Court.
The University was established by the State Government of Tamil Nadu and its offers legal education at its campus as well as through eight affiliated law colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu located at Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Chengalpattu, Vellore and Salem. His Excellency Shri V. N. Ravi, the Governor of Tamil Nadu is the Chancellor of the University, the Hon’ble Tamil Nadu State Law Minister Shri. S. Raghupathi is the Pro-Chancellor of the University and Dr. N. S. Santhosh Kumar is the Vice-Chancellor of the University.
The School of Excellence in Law established by the University at its campus since 2002 has been modeled on the lines of other National Law Schools in the country and offers three year as well as five year integrated undergraduate courses in Law. The University is recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and University Grants Commission (UGC) (Sec. 2f and 12b of the UGC Act.). The University is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Association of Common Wealth Universities, U.K. and Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi.
Dr. Ram Sankar has been nominated as the Standing Counsel of this Esteemed University before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Dr. Ram Sankar originated from Rajapalayam in Tamil Nadu. He has been practicing as an Advocate before Supreme Court in Delhi since 2012. Dr. Ram Sankar has conferred for Doctorate in Law by publishing his research thesis on the topic, “The Process of Judicial Appointments in India”. The Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri. Venkaiah Naidu and Hon’ble Union Minister Mrs. Smrithi Irani presented the Doctorate to Dr. Ram Sankar in the convocation recently held at the GD Goenka University, Gurugram, Delhi NCR.
It is remarkable to mention that the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University has produced numerous Judges and many remarkable advocates/Designated Senior Advocates from Tamil Nadu.

தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் அம்பேத்கர் சட்டப் பல்கலைக்கழகம் தொடர்பான உச்ச நீதிமன்ற வழக்குகளில் ஆஜராக தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த உச்ச நீதிமன்ற வழக்கறிஞர் டாக்டர் ராம் சங்கர் நியமனம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார். அதன் உத்தரவை பல்கலைக்கழக பதிவாளர் இன்று வழங்கினார்.
தமிழக அரசால் இந்த அம்பேத்கர் சட்டப் பல்கலைக்கழகம் நிறுவப்பட்டது தமிழகத்தில் சட்ட படிப்புக்கு என பிரத்யேகமாக தொடங்கப்பட்ட அரசு சட்டப் பல்கலைக்கழகம் . இதன் வேந்தராக தமிழகத்தின் மேதகு ஆளுநர் திரு R .N . ரவி அவர்களும், சார்பு வேந்தராக தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் சட்ட அமைச்சர் மாண்புமிகு S. ரகுபதி அவர்களும், துணைவேந்தராக டாக்டர் ன்ன் N. S. சந்தோஷ் குமார் அவர்களும் உள்ளனர்.
தமிழகத்தில் சென்னை, மதுரை, திருச்சி, கோயம்புத்தூர், திருநெல்வேலி, செங்கல்பட்டு, வேலூர் மற்றும் சேலம் ஆகிய எட்டு இடங்களில் உள்ள அரசு சட்டக் கல்லூரிகள் இதன் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் உள்ளது. 2002 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தால் அதன் வளாகத்தில் நிறுவப்பட்ட சீர்மிகு சட்டப் பள்ளியானது, நாட்டில் உள்ள பிற தேசிய சட்டப் பள்ளிகளின் மாதிரியாக வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இங்கு சட்டத்தில் மூன்று ஆண்டு மற்றும் ஐந்தாண்டு ஒருங்கிணைந்த இளங்கலைப் சட்ட படிப்புகள், முதுநிலை மற்றும் சட்ட படிப்பில் முனைவர் படிப்பிற்கான சட்ட படிப்புகள் உட்பட சட்டம் சம்பந்தப்பட்ட பல்வேறு படிப்புகள் உள்ளன.
இந்திய பார் கவுன்சில் (BCI) மற்றும் பல்கலைக்கழக மானியக் குழு (UGC) ஆகியவற்றால் இந்த பல்கலைக்கழகம் அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேலும் இந்தியப் பல்கலைக்கழகங்களின் சங்கம் (AIU), காமன்வெல்த் பல்கலைக்கழகங்களின் சங்கம், U.K. மற்றும் இந்திய பொது நிர்வாக கழகம், புது தில்லி ஆகியவற்றிலும் உறுப்பினராக உள்ளது. இந்தியாவின் தலை சிறந்த தமிழக நீதிபதிகள் மற்றும் பல்வேறு மூத்த வழக்கறிஞர்கள் தமிழக அரசு கல்லூரிகளில் படித்தவர்கள் என்பது குறிப்பிடதக்கது. சட்டப்படிப்பிற்கு பல லட்சங்ககளை கட்டணமாக பெரும் தனியார் பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள் மத்தியில் மிக குறைவான கட்டணத்தில் மிக சிறப்பான படிப்பை வழங்கும் அரசு பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள் என்றுமே சிறப்புதான்.
இத்தகைய தனி சிறப்புகள் வாய்ந்த இந்த பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் வழக்கறிஞராக டாக்டர். ராம் சங்கர் நியமிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார். இவர் ராஜபாளையம் நகரை சேர்ந்தவர் 2012 முதல் தில்லியில் வழக்கறிஞராக பணியாற்றி வருகிறார் சமீபத்தில் சட்டபடிப்பில் “இந்தியாவில் எப்படி உச்ச, உயர் நீதிபதிகள் நியமிக்க படுகிறார்கள் என்பது குறித்து தனது ஆராய்ச்சி கட்டுரையை சமர்ப்பித்து முனைவர் பட்டம் பெற்றுள்ளார். அதை மேதகு துணை ஜனாதிபதி வெங்கையா நாயுடு மற்றும் மாண்புமிகு மத்திய அமைச்சர் ஸ்மிருதி இராணி அவர்கள் குருகிராம் ஜி டி கோயங்கா பல்கலைக்கழத்தில் நடைபெற்ற பட்டமளிப்பு விழாவில் சமீபத்தில் வழங்கினர்.
