On a notice by the Supreme Court, the State Government released the petitioner.
In this case, the judgment was delivered by the bench consisting of Ajit Rasthogi and C.T.Ravikumar.
For the illegal confinement of the petitioner, the Supreme Court directed the State Government to pay him compensation of Rs.7.5 lakhs.
