Mr. Wilson said that the commission is not a civil court that can declare title. In such view of the matter, the Hon’ble Bench orally directed the ASG Mr. ARL Sundaresan not to proceed with the case and ordered notice returnable by 14.3.2024. The ASG undertook to inform the commission. Mr P. Wilson also submitted before the court that he will also write to the commission about the oral directives by the court to ASG not to precipitate the matter.

The Writ Appeal filed by Murasoli Trust against the order of the single Judge refusing to restrain National Commission for Scheduled Castes NCSC from hearing the complaint given by BJP TN State Secretary Srinivasan that the Murasoli office land is Panchami land came up for hearing before the Bench of Hon’ble Chief Justice S.V. Gangapurvala and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bharata Chakravarthy.

Mr. P. Wilson Sr. Counsel appeared for the Appellant Murasoli Trust and submitted that the Commission has no power to adjudicate title or character of land and that the State Government, when the AIADMK was in power, has already submitted a report to the NCSC that the land was private patta land.

Despite this report of the State Government based on revenue records the NCSC attempted to enquire into title.
