He stated that Chinnasamy approached him with the job offer and was required to pay Rs 6 lakh to Nallathambi, who was working as a government advocate with political influence, to get the job. After paying Rs 6 lakh to Nallathambi, he was handed an appointment order, which turned out to be fake. He lodged a complaint with the Sivakasi Town police station in Virudhunagar district in 2015, and a case was registered against Chinnasamy and Nallathambi. The petitioner alleged that since Nallathambi was closely associated with high level political party functionaries, no action was taken by the police.Justice G R Swaminathan said, “It is unfortunate that even though this is a case of job racket and the case was registered some four years ago, no action has been taken so far. I can only express my displeasure over the utter inaction on part of the police. The issue is serious. The petitioner’s counsel also alleges that Nallathambi has been involved in few other cases of similar nature.”The judge directed the Virudhunagar SP to immediately hand over the case files to CB-CID to complete the investigation swiftly.
