[12/19, 11:35] Sekarreporter 1: [12/19, 11:33] Chanduru Adv: Yesterday, the BCTNP function to felicitate Hon’ble Mr.Justice M.M.Sundresh on his elevation as Hon’ble Judge of the Supreme Court of India was a grand function with more than 600 Advocates attending the event.. It was also streamed live in YouTube. Several Hon’ble Judges of the Madras High Court and Former Judge Mr.N.Kirubakaran, attended the same. Mr. Justice T. Raja, in his felicitation, spoke about the legendary Judges of the Apex Court and how they laid down the path for several reforms like PIL, Protection of Environment, clearing the doubt of the President of India etc., and guiding the entire Judiciary in India with landmark judgments and implored upon Hon’ble Justice M.M.Sundresh to be a great Jurist with immortal judgments.
Justice R. Sureshkumar and Justice N. Seshasayee spoke in Tamizh and captivated the audience by their excellent speech. Mr. Justice V. Bharathidasan, Mr. Justice N. Satishkumar, Mr. Justice Krishnan Ramasamy, Mr. Justice C.Saravanan,

Mr. Justice M. M. Sundresh, in his acceptance speech, with his usual humility and grace, replied that he was overwhelmed by the love and affection shown to him and he was trembling here than the chill weather experienced in Delhi. He said he will be a brother to the Bar and always act as per the Constitution.. He observed that he believed and followed the words of Dr.Ambedkar to serve the Society and uplift them. He reminisced his Erode upbringing and said he felt that one should always think about doing good to all and serve with humility. He quoted the poets Avvaiyar and Kamban in the speech.
The felicitation witnessed a huge line of well-wishers offering garlands, mementos, books, shawls and the Judge patiently accepted the warmth of the Advocates with smile. A lunch for all the attendees was arranged by the Bar Council..The Chairman, Members and staff of BCTNP had taken all steps to ensure that the grand function was organised very well.
