Today (16.06.2023), the Hon’ble Madurai Bench of Madras High Court comprising of His Lordship Justice G.R. Swaminathan stayed the staff fixation and deployment orders issued by the education department without considering students strength in English Medium sections and rendering several posts as surplus. In another batch of cases the Hon’ble Court stayed the order deploying the excess teachers from other schools without considering the teachers working in the petitioner schools waiting for approval of appointment. The Hon’ble Court posted the cases regarding non-counting of students strength in English medium sections for fixing the staff strength for further hearing on 28.06.2023. Mr. Isaac Mohanlal, senior advocate appeared on behalf of the institutions and argued the case.
