Today matter relating to Sri Audikesava Perumal Peyalwar Devasthanam Temple, came up before the Hon’ble High Court of Madras, wherein the Secretary to Government, Tourism, Culture, Religious Endowments Department issued an order in G.O.Ms.No.107 Tourism, Culture, Religious Endowments Department, dated 06.08.2021 and Government order issued in G.O.Ms.No.107 Tourism, Culture, Religious Endowments Department, dated 06.08.2021 and Letter No.15033/A.Ni.3-1/2016 – 1 dated 06.08.2021 to place all the five trustees under suspension.

Whereas Trustee of the Temple Mr. N.C.Sridhar had preferred a Writ Petition against the G.O. passed in W.P.No. 17570 of 2021, Counsel Mr. Ragavachari appeared for the petitioner, for which matter was listed today before Hon’ble Justice M.Sundar as item 10, in which Advocate General to the Government had appeared and submitted that they are going to withdraw the G.O. in G.O.Ms.No.107 Tourism, Culture, Religious Endowments Department, dated 06.08.2021 and Letter No.15033/A.Ni.3-1/2016 – 1 dated 06.08.2021 by also giving undertaking that they will withdraw the G.O. within two weeks’ time.
