In our opinion, the issue involved in this writ petition is no longer res integra.
We have considered the judgments of the Apex Court while delivering judgment in W.P.No.28147 of 2022 dated 19.12.2023 wherein we had held that in the Selection Committee, the UGC nominee has to be a Member.
We have observed that UGC Regulations are mandatory.
Learned Advocate General submits that the matter be adjourned to 23.04.2024 as a last chance in view of the fact that the State of Tamil Nadu has filed writ petition under Article 32 of the Constitution bearing W.P.(Civil) No.1271 of 2023 with regard to the similar issue and the same is kept on 22.04.2024.
We place the matter on 23.04.2024. On the said date, we would finally decide the present matter.
