Presently the Designation of Senior Advocate, is a Great Recognition, for the long and distinguished services rendered by the Advocates.
As your Lordship in several of your speeches mentioned about the freedom struggle and the role of advocates including Bapuji our father of nation, in this

• My humble request is to ponder over the role of the Senior Counsels before and after the recognition for effective functioning of the Tribunals which are at present certainly needs effective monitoring.
• Your Lordship passed two land mark Judgments, concerning Judicial misconduct in RR Parekh and Muzafur Hussain, on how a Judicial Officer’s misconduct can be brought to books…
• The i”ue is who will bell the cat ??? and whether it is possible for a practicing lawyer who will be the Best person to bring in the problems with suggestions for reformative changes in the Adjudicating mechanism for the Benefit of litigants for accessing less cost and time bound justice??
• In an appeal before this Hon’ble Supreme Court CA (WP) 180 of 22 where in 15 out of 22 judicial officers of NCLT were found to be of questionable character recorded by the Hon’ble president of NCLT in the affidavit, also published by MCA on 14/6/22 but till date no action was taken to correct the system .
• The 8 Judicial Officers who should have been Rewarded for their Honesty by promoting them to NCLAT or extending their term , was not done instead many members with different specializations but not in company law/ IBC matters were recruited resulting in issues which are adverse to the objectives to the Legislation .
• The way in which Dispensation of Justice taking place in the Tribunals and the
need for systemic correction was well explained by Hon’ble justice

Sundresh in a recent conference at Madurai and also echoed by Hon’ble MP of DNIK Mr .Wilson in the parliament needs immediate consideration.
My Humble Belief is that the above defects in the system could have been prevented /plugged had the selection committee given some weightage in the Ranking Matrix for encouraging pro active members, further the continuation of the designation be tagged with some duties and responsibilities for the Betterment of the Members/Profession.
The VC proceedings of NCLT / NCLAT Chennai would show that recorded several instances of the Adjudicating Authority abusing / ridiculing the young members in the VC hearings and the Designated Seniors counsels maintaining strict silence while few of them also join in attacking the young members to please the AA’s.
