T.Nagar Police foisted a false case against BJP Office bearers Mr.S.Venkatramani, Sivanesan @ Photo Siva and others in the year 2018, when the PMK Party people attempt to siege the BJP Head Quarters “Kamalayalam”. Mr.S.Venkatramani, who is serving BJP for the past 65 years, was at the Party Head Quarters along with others at the time of PMK’s attempt to siege the office. But, the Police has registered a case against S.Venkatramani and others for the offences U/s.147, 341, 294(b), 353 and 188 IPC in Cr.No.470 of 2018. Later on, Charge sheet has also been filed in C.C.2065 of 2020 before the Metropolitan Magistrate-XVII, Saidapet.
Mr.S.Venkatramani and others filed a Petition before the Madras High Court for quashing the above case in Crl. O.P.4978 of 2024 & Crl.O.P.7068 of 2024 and the same came up for admission before Hon’ble Justice Anand Venkatesh on 01-03-2024. Upon hearing the arguments, Hon’le Justice N.Anand Venkatesh quashed the aforesaid case in C.C.2065 of 2020.
