CTC Publications, a renowned law publisher in Chennai is looking for a ‘Senior Associate Editor’ to join its Editorial Team. The journal has a focus on reporting judgments being delivered by the Supreme Court, Madras High Court, and full benches of other High Courts.
As a ‘Senior Associate Editor’ you will be responsible for the following:
• Keeping abreast of judgments being delivered by the Supreme Court, Madras High Court, and full benches of other High Courts, and latest developments in the legal field.
• Handpicking significant judgments to be reported in our journal.
• Conducting a thorough analysis of the handpicked judgments, digesting them, and preparing concise headnotes for the same.
• Meeting deadlines efficiently with minimal handholding.
• Assisting juniors, and reviewing the headnotes being prepared by them.
Requirements:
• Qualified advocates with a 3 or 5-year LL.B (Hons.) degree from a reputed law school.
• Strong understanding of legal principles.
• Proficient in legal research and drafting.
Experience:
• Prior experience of 3 – 5 years in preparing headnotes for a reputed law journal.

In addition the above, interested candidates are also required to share at least 5 sample headnotes that they have prepared in the past. They will also be required to prepare and submit headnotes for 3 judgments that would be allotted by our Editorial Team, for assessment.
