Despite a specific direction to remove/clear the hawkers from the non-hawking zone, the hawkers are operating at the same
place. To settle the issue, this court on the last date of hearing, by
order dated 5.4.2022, even permitted the respondent contemnors
to relocate the hawkers at some other place.
2. A period of more than two months has already elapsed and even now learned counsel for the respondent contemnors is praying for further time to relocate the hawkers operating in non-hawking
zone in violation of the direction of this court.
3. In view of the above, a case for contempt is made out. Learned counsel appearing for the contemnors is directed to keep the contemnors, as well as the officers presently holding the said offices, present in the court on the next date of hearing for passing appropriate orders in their presence. However, their presence shall be exempted if compliance of order is made on or before the next
date of hearing.
