[4/7, 15:38] Pucl Suresh: KG Kannabiran, a legendary lawyer, passed out from Madras Law College and was enrolled in Madras High Court in the 1950’s. He later shifted practice to Hyderabad. Kannabiran’s contribution to the development of constitutional and human rights law is immense. He showed his prowess, both as a trial court lawyer as also a lawyer practicing in the constitutional courts. His book, *”The Speaking Constitution: A Sisyphean Life in Law”* translated into English from Telugu was released recently, and is a must read of young and experienced lawyers, students and academics and anyone interested in constitutional and human rights law. Sharing a book review written by V. Suresh & D. Nagasaila, Advocates published in the Frontline on 7th April, 2023. Also sharing an earlier Obituary article published soon after his death, in the Economic and Political Weekly (EPW) in 2011, which lawyers, students and others may find interesting.
