provides for the right to information for citizens from the public authorities. This Act will help to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority. The major provision under the Act are constitution and
functions of Central Information Commission and State information Commissions, designation of
public information officers, disposal of request, exemption from disclosure of Information, grounds for rejection to access, third party information,
penalty and appeal procedures.
