] sekarreporter1: A disproportionate assets case filed by V & AC, Tuticorin, against Mr. Anitha Radhakrishnan, came up today, 11.10.2023, before Prl.District Court at Tuticorin. Enforcement Directorate (ED) had filed a petition to assist the prosecution that ED has collected more evidence to establish that the accused have generated more money and acquired more properties than the charge sheet of V & AC. Our petition was taken up today for hearing. Submissions were made on behalf of ED that under PMLA, ED has responsibility to share the evidence collected with prosecution & Court. ED has locus as it represents public at large who are victims in case of corruption by public servant. In its investigation under PMLA, ED has assessed a sum of Rs.60 crore as proceeds of Crime. Provisional Attachments of some properties of accused were made and confirmed by Adjudicating Authority at New Delhi. The evidence collected by ED will assist the Court to find the truth and to come to just conclusion.
