[3/28, 15:46] Sekarreporter: On 03-03-2022, ED arrested Mr. Ahmed A. R. Buhari, Promoter of Coastal Energy Private Limited, Chennai, under PMLA, 2002 in a money laundering case of Rs. 564.48 Crore generated by over valuation of coal prices whereby the PSUs paid higher price for the purchase of coal. He was remanded to Judicial Custody on 04.03.2022 by the Prl. Sessions Judge, Chennai. Bail petition was dismissed by the Prl. Sessions Judge on 09-03-2022. Mr. Ahmed Buhari, approached Hon’ble High Court, Chennai and his bail petition came up before Dr. Justice. Jayachandran, on 21.3.2022 and after hearing arguments on both side, orders were reserved. Today, on 28.03.2022, the Hon’ble Court pronounced the orders and the BAIL PETITION was DISMISSED. For petitioner, Senior Counsel Mr. P.Chidambaram argued. For ED, learned ASG Mr.R.
