Mr P. Wilson Senior Advocate and Member of Parliament participated as Chief Guest and made the audience to take pledge and spoke about the contributions of Thanthai periyar to the Indian society particularly upholding equality and social justice ; abolishing untouchability and child marriage; widow remarriage; abolition of devadasi and other reformist actions .
Mr P. Wilson appealed to the Union Govt to follow TN Govt and declare Thanthai Periyars birthday as National Social Justice day.
He said that Hon’ble CM of TN, Mr MK Stalin through Dravida Model government is achieving equality and ensuring social justice through various policies and that he is a living Periyar.
